On a Quiet Sunday Morning

December 7, 1941: the battleship USS Arizona burns in the grim aftermath of the Japanese attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Territory of Hawaii. More than two thousand four hundred Americans died in the attack, seventy-four years ago today.
