Kuwait Blocking Islamic Websites

Kuwait has had several major incidents over the past month involving al-Qaeda terrorists, including a large cell that had planned to kidnap, videotape, and murder American servicepeople and civilians.

Despite their success in killing and capturing terror cell members, Kuwait is warning that violence may spread to other Gulf States. According to The Daily Star (Lebanon), Kuwait has started blocking Islamic websites that promote violence.
Kuwait began to block the sites Sunday. Three Kuwaiti sites are now inaccessible, and technicians are working with security officials and Internet providers to crack down on non-Kuwaiti sites, said Hamed Khaja, undersecretary of the Communications Ministry. He declined name any of the sites.
