Napa Winemakers Killing Bears

(Napa County, California) The succulent prized grapes grown in the California wine region are attractive to the wild black bears but the vineyard owners aren't predisposed to sharing. Consequently and in accordance with state law, the bears are being killed. Naturally, the animal rights advocates and environmentalists are opposed to the killing of the bears, but they protest meekly. I guess the liberals love their wine a little more than they love the bears.

Evidently, animals have rights only to extent that they don't mess with the merlot.
