Attack of the Nutty Professors
From the Daily Mail (UK) via the Drudge Report:
This site features a petition signed mostly by the sort of people you'd expect to sign such a document, demanding, in part, that NYS AG Eliot Spitzer investigate 9/11 as an inside job. Since Eliot is busy running for governor, it's doubtful that he wants something quite this wacky on his resume right now. The kindest interpretation to put on their motives is that they don't really believe their own hogwash, but want to make ensure a strong turnout of the clinically paranoid at the midterm elections.
Interestingly, several documents on the Scholars for 9/11 Truth website, which is mentioned in the Daily Mail article, are hosted by Information Clearing House, a website that, as I discovered (update here) in February of 2005, has ties to Iraqi terrorist organizations.
The 9/11 terrorist attack on America which left almost 3,000 people dead was an "inside job", according to a group of leading academics. The fact that it would take, literally, hundreds of conspirators to plan the event, plant the charges, and recruit Saudis to commit suicide to perpetrate a fraud seems lost on these boneheads.
Around 75 top professors and leading scientists believe the attacks were puppeteered by war mongers in the White House to justify the invasion and the occupation of oil-rich Arab countries.
