NBC Refuses to Run Anti-Bush Dixie Chicks Ads
NBC has refused to run ads for the Dixie Chick upcoming documentary, Shut Up and Sing, saying that the network, “Cannot Accept These Spots as They are Disparaging to President Bush.”
In 2003, Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines put herself in the running for Stupidest Person in the World when she grossly offended her Country Western audience by publicly declaring that she was "ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." Record sales and concert attendance has been...a tad off...ever since.
