Reuters Posts Pictures of the Year

Reuters has selected their 206 pictures of the year. While that may seem like a large number of photos, think about all the world-shaking events that occurred in 2006, and you can see that Reuters' editors had their work cut out for them. It's certainly no small task to characterize the history of the world for an entire year in only 206 snapshots.

Reuters has taken on a solemn task, the sort of job that only a well-respected global news agency can be trusted to perform. With such a small number of selections, each and every photo chosen reflects the experience of the seasoned news pros at Reuters.
