This is a Bad Idea

The 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York has announced that it will start holding one monthly memorial service, instead of individual services for soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. A base spokesman says that the change is for scheduling reasons, and doesn't indicate an increase in the number of casualties.

The reason for the change doesn't matter because this is a bad move. Each soldier and his or her family have made a unique sacrifice, more than worthy of individual recognition.
