Sgrena Rebuked by Italian Communications Minister

In a sign that the Italian government may not be totally lacking in backbone, Communications Minister Maurizio Gasparri sharply criticized statements made by alleged ex-hostage Giuliana Sgrena who accused US troops of deliberately targeting her. From Yahoo News:
Communications Minister Maurizio Gasparri urged Sgrena to be more careful about what she said.

"I understand the emotion of these hours, but those who have been under stress in the past few weeks should pull themselves together and avoid saying nonsense," ANSA quoted Gasparri as saying.
One hopes that this is a sign that the Italian government is fed up with the antics of Sgrena.
