Calm Down, Jack, Think Hillary in '08

In a lengthy rant yesterday in Slate, Jack Shafer compares George W. Bush to North Korean leader Kim Jong-il. Shafer does get one thing right though, when he says that, as a result of recent media scandals, "...the average citizen thinks the average Washington reporter is a full-of-himself jackass."

But the informed citizen has known all along that the average Washington reporter is a full-of-himself jackass. Also the average New York City reporter, the average LA reporter... Jack, stop whining about how hard it is for reporters to do their jobs. The good ones will get it done anyway.
