Iran Threatens, EU Powers Shriek Like Frightened Schoolgirls

Presidential hopeful John Kerry sharply criticized George W. Bush during the 2004 campaign for his so-called "go-it-alone" attitude toward the War on Terror, specifically for eschewing the help of potential European allies France and Germany. Today we learned the mettle of those valiant allies.

Britain, France and Germany yesterday retreated from their bid to report Iran's nuclear violations to the UN Security Council in face of opposition from Russia and fierce threats from Iran.

As Iran paraded ballistic missiles draped with defiant slogans such as "We will crush America under our feet" and "Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth", the so-called EU-3 submitted a new resolution at the International Atomic Energy Agency which delays action to an unspecified date.

Not only are the French and Germans too petrified to stand up to dangerous extremists, they don't even dare to tell teacher.

The missiles being paraded are Shahab-3s. They have a range of from 1300-1600 kilometers carrying a 500-600 kilogram warhead, which can carry high explosives - or chemical weapons. the Israelis say the Shahab-3 can carry a nuclear warhead, though this hasn't been confirmed.

The Shahab-3 was developed from the North Korean No-dong missile. So much for the effete leftist dilettantes who have found it oh-so-fashionable to pooh-pooh President Bush's "Axis of Evil" speech.
