Happy Hannukah!

Hm, it seems the IDF is giving its own festival of lights this Hannukah week:

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli aircraft attacked a militant training base south of Beirut early on Wednesday in response to rocket attacks on Israel, an army spokeswoman said.

She said the attack targeted a training base used by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). There was no immediate information on casualties or damage.

Late on Tuesday, three rockets were fired into the northern Israeli town of Kiryat Shemona from Lebanon, slamming into residential areas and wounding one, the army said.

It's unclear whether or not enough terrorists heads were set alight to create a Live Menorah, but it's kind of annoying, really, that the IDF is trying to copy the Christian tradition of a Live Nativity during the Holiday Season.

Oh, but wait. It appears they may be going for the flame they need right now:

The IDF inched one step closer toward creating what one official has termed a "cordon sanitaire" in the northern Gaza Strip.

Tuesday evening, the IAF dropped pamphlets in Gaza telling residents to keep away from Kassam rocket teams.

The message, said military sources, warned residents, "Presence in areas used for projectile rocket launchings puts your life in danger."

Here's to the IDF and their efforts to make a living menorah out of terrorists.
