NYT Betrayed Us For Money, Not Principle

The New York Times's latest teapot tempest - fussing over some international calls and emails being monitored by the NSA - was timed to coincide with a book release by one of the reporters, according to the Drudge Report.

The incriminating passage is here:
The White House asked The New York Times not to publish this article, arguing that it could jeopardize continuing investigations and alert would-be terrorists that they might be under scrutiny. After meeting with senior administration officials to hear their concerns, the newspaper delayed publication for a year to conduct additional reporting.
According to Drudge, this is a lie. In fact, the publication is timed to maximize buzz for the imminent release of reporter James Risen's new book, "STATE OF WAR: The Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration".

The Gray Lady has been showing her age and growing senility for years. Now she has taken up prostitution.
