NBC's Gregory Untruthful About McClellan Confrontation

All three major broadcast networks are in tantrum mode tonight over their own failure to learn of the Cheney hunting accident story before the tiny Corpus Christi Caller-Times, but NBC chief White House correspondent David Gregory is in highest dudgeon of all.

Gregory's "reporting" on the related story concerning his own juvenile behavior during a press conference with Presidential press secretary Scott McClellan omitted this exchange:
'David, hold on, the cameras aren't on right now,' McClellan replied. 'You can do this later.'

'Don't accuse me of trying to pose to the cameras,' Gregory said, voice rising. 'Don't be a jerk to me personally when I'm asking you a serious question.'

'You don't have to yell,' McClellan said.
This is really the heart of the matter. Gregory and the other overpaid jackasses who cover the White House are upset because they've been phoning it in. They aren't doing their jobs. They're sitting on their pasty asses waiting for White House public relations personnel to spoonfeed them.
