Schlussel Has A 'No Maas' Moment

Blogfather Dr. Rusty Shackleford of The Jawa Report was invited to debate Debbie Schlussel (who has recently been threatening to sue half of the blogosphere's right lobe, including moi) on Ace of Spades's and Jeff Goldstein's radio program. The topic: released hostage Jill Carroll, and Schlussel's reaction to the videotape she made as a condition of her release.

Rusty holds the not unreasonable opinion that, while Carroll is certainly a left-biased reporter, it's unfair to criticize for statements made on that particular videotape, as she was still in the control of her abductors. Schlussel pilloried Carroll for the statements made on the videotape.

Alas, the debate was not scheduled originally when Schlussel agreed to appear. She threatened to walk if Rusty was given a microphone.

It would have been glorious.
