DailyKos: Screw the Troops, Too

Master of the fever swamps Markos "screw them"* Moulitsas has finally weighed in on the John Kerry debacle, and Republicans should take heart at his appoach:
So John Kerry mangles a sentence in a public appearance, and the right-wing smear machine and its traditional media enablers are apoplectic. I mean, John Kerry is a, um, junior senator not running for reelection! And he's, um, a war hero who hates the troops! And um, we hate him because he's John Kerry!

Kerry has nothing to apologize for. The people who have turned their backs on the troops do. And even though this ridiculousness will lead the evening news, fact is, we should embrace the opportunity to remind Americans how Republicans rally to the "troops" defense only when it suits their own cynical political ends.
That's right. Kerry shouldn't apologize for insulting everyone who proudly wears the uniform of the United States. Why should he? Kerry never apologized for calling US troops in Vietnam murderers and rapists.
If Republicans want to debate who supports the troops more, let's have that debate.
Let's do that, kos, let's talk about how you and your deranged band of BDS sufferers support the troops.

Soldiers are guilty until proven innocent.

Soldiers are child molesters.

Soldiers commit war crimes, using napalm just like Vietnam.

*Moulitsas notoriously said of American civilian contractors, murdered, mutilated, hanged, and burned in Iraq: "screw them".
