Padilla Gets Away With 17 years

Domestic al Qaeda terrorist Jose Padilla has been sentenced; unfortunately, the sentence isn't death, or even life:
MIAMI - Convicted terrorism conspirator Jose Padilla on Tuesday was sentenced to 17 years and four months in prison.
His co-conspirators got even less time:
The other two defendants are 45-year-old Adham Amin Hassoun, a computer programmer of Palestinian descent who allegedly recruited Padilla, and 46-year-old Kifah Wael Jayyousi, an engineer and schools administrator originally from Jordan who provided finances and propaganda for Islamic extremists in Chechnya, Afghanistan, Somalia and elsewhere, according to trial testimony.

Cooke sentenced Hassoun to 15 years and eight months. Jayyousi received 12 years and eight months.
Padilla's lawyers had the stones to whine that he deserved a lesser sentence because he was treated harshly. Maybe some inmate will show this scumbag what "harsh" really is.
