Brian Pulls a Big Boner

In an extraordinary display of ignorance tonight, NBC's Brian Williams said, "While airport security has been focused on sharp objects and the removal of shoes..." - while introducing a story about the need for increased focus on explosives in airport screening.

Evidently Brian has forgotten this man, Richard Reid, the "shoe bomber". He is the reason that many airport passengers are required to remove their shoes...to be tested for explosives.

Duh.
