Michelle Malkin: AP Stringer Captured With Weapons Cache

Go to Michelle's site and read the whole thing. Associated Press stringer Bilal Hussein, who has been suspected of overly cozy ties with Iraq's terrorist insurgency because of the ease and apparent impunity with which he moves among and photographs terrorists in Iraq, has reportedly been detained by US forces. Malkin's military source says that Hussein was taken in a Ramadi building with a cache of weapons. AP confirmed to Malkin in an email that they believed Hussein was in the hands of the American military.

This is significant because some of us have been questioning the heavy reliance on locals by Western media outlets, and its effect on the overwhelmingly pessimistic and anti-American reporting that has resulted.
