Coalition Raids Iranian Consulate in Iraq

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander; from the Washington Post:
U.S. troops raided an Iranian consulate in northern Iraq late Wednesday night and detained several people, Iran's main news agency reported today, prompting protests from Tehran just hours after President Bush pledged to crack down on the Islamic Republic's role in Iraqi violence.
The Iranians are not pleased. Tough titty, the Iranians gave up all claims to civilized status and thus, diplomatic treatment when they took American diplomats hostage in Tehran during the Carter administration. Many even think that Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was directly involved in the incident.

The really interesting question will be which of Iran's allies in the Democratic party will be first to condemn the US for arresting the Iranians, who were pretty clearly coordinating supplies for those attacking Coalition troops.
