Iraqi Ex-Pat Voters Harassed, Attacked in Australia

Reprisals against Iraqis who cast absentee ballots in Australia are being reported by the Sydney Morning Herald

Iraqis living in Australia have been advised to clean the blue ink from their fingers in the wake of intimidation and assaults, including shootings. Attackers were reported to be non-Iraqis, but from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Lebanon.
Brawls, gunshot wounds, a broken arm, vandalised shops, a bomb scare and death threats led Sheik Haydar Naji, 37, of Auburn's Ahl Albait Islamic Centre, to advise voters to scrub their fingers clean of blue ink, as he had done.
Time for the Aussie authorities to step in and eradicate these vermin.
