Army Raises Enlistment Age For Reservists

Finally, someone has made the stunningly obvious move to update enlistment requirements out of 1940s mode - Reuters:
WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Army, stung by recruiting shortfalls caused by the Iraq war, has raised the maximum age for new recruits for the part-time Army Reserve and National Guard by five years to 39, officials said today.
This is a good start, but there's really no reason to have an age limit. All that's required is a physical ability limit. And by the way, things would be sooo much easier if you people would simply listen to The Dread Pundit Bluto in the first place.
