Greer Rules For Death

Surprising no one, Judge George Greer has refused Florida governor Jeb Bush's request to have Terri Schiavo's custody transferred from her estranged husband to the state of Florida. For Greer to rule otherwise would have been to admit that he might have been mistaken in his other rulings in the Schiavo case. A judge whose ego becomes too involved in a case should recuse himself.

Earlier today, video on Fox News showed Terri Schiavo tracking the movement of a balloon held by a friend by moving her eyes and head. Pretty impressive brainstem Terri has there, as her husband insists that her cerebral cortex is "liquefied".

There is little hope now that Terri's life will be spared through legal means.
