"Talking Points Memo" Begins to Unravel

In some Rather disturbing news for the Mainstream Media and other leftists, Rush Limbaugh is reporting that a memo obtained and released over the weekend by ABC appears to be a fake created by staffers at Senator Harry Reid's office.

Here's how ABC News described the document:
ABC News obtained talking points circulated among Senate Republicans explaining why they should vote to intervene in the Schiavo case. Among them, that it is an important moral issue and the "pro-life base will be excited," and that it is a "great political issue — this is a tough issue for Democrats."
The most provocative passages from the memo:
This is an important moral issue and the pro-life base will be excited that the Senate is debating this important issue.

This is a great political issue, because Senator Nelson of Florida has already refused to become a cosponsor and this is a tough issue for Democrats.
But those who have seen the actual memo say that there are no identifying marks and the memo is unsigned, and Republicans in Congress deny having seen the memo. If this is true, and ABC has not denied it, ABC is guilty of incompetence rivaling Dan Rather and his staff in their "reporting" of the comically bad TANG memo.

Uh-oh, time to blame Karl Rove.
