Iraqi Commandos Kill 85 Insurgents

From the Associated Press via Yahoo! News
BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. and Iraqi forces raided a suspected guerrilla training camp and killed 85 fighters, the single biggest one-day death toll for militants in months and the latest in a series of blows to the insurgency, Iraqi officials said Wednesday.
Seven Iraqi commandos were reported killed in the attack on the training camp. This is what the "resistance" was up to elsewhere (from the same story):
Also Wednesday, a mortar shell or rocket struck an elementary school in western Baghdad, killing at least one child and injuring three others, according to a police official who asked not to be identified out of fear of retribution by attackers.
CBS News reports the number of insurgents killed as 80 and adds that evidence was found at the camp indicating the involvement of foreign Islamic radicals.

MSNBC also reports 85 killed, and adds this interesting quote:
"Among the dead are Arab and foreign fighters, including Sudanese, Algerians and Moroccans, as well as other nationalities," Interior Ministry spokesman Sabah Kadhim told Reuters.
So much for the terrorist-apologist canard of a popular Iraqi insurgency. Al-Jazeera western meat puppet Scott Ritter even went so far as to declare Jordanian-born terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi a "myth". How embarrassing for Scott.
